Sadly I would not recommend this location. Every ingredient and component tasted stock or sub par.

Review

It seems to be in a pretty low population area with not much activity. The inside has a pretty big dining areas with tables capable of accommodating small parties to very large parties. The menu is a “build your own” ramen style.

  • The broth has a light soft creamy consistency. It is a pretty light broth with a light flavor. There is not as much richness or milkiness to the flavor as I would like. It is still a good standard average broth and there is not much wrong with it.

  • The noodles are the thin and straight type of noodles. They are somewhat soft but not over cooked. It is hard to get a nice chew on thin noodles. The noodles are lacking in flavor. They don’t have much flavor on their own, yet doesn’t taste bland either. They seem like standard noodles, not made fresh.

  • The noodles and broth are standard with nothing special to them. The flavor does not stand out and there is no wow. The noodles and the broth just feels stock and factory made. I don’t think there is anything special about this combination, but I don’t think it is doing anything wrong either.

  • The chashu is rather quite dry. The fatty parts have the most flavor, but that flavor is quickly taken over by the dryness of the meat. The flavor is not very good. To its benefit, the small amount of fatty part was tasty and it is a proper chashu -- rolled pork belly. Another meat option is the pork belly, but this is not that much better. 6/10. It is soft, but it has an odd texture. Some parts are crispy, some parts fall apart, and it doesn’t have that rich flavor. The flavor felt off to me. I don’t much prefer this.

  • I do not like this. The soft poached egg is too soft. There is no firmness to the egg at all and it felt like I was eating egg pudding. I am not a fan of this. There is no soy marinade flavor as it is not marinated. I do not like this and am rating it low simply because it is not the egg I desire. I am not a fan.

  • I gotta hand it to them, the amount of toppings is like a choose your own adventure. They have a wide selection of toppings to choose from which allows you to choose the ingredients you want or don’t want. I don’t think the ingredients are particularly high quality, but the ability to choose them is great.

Overall: 8/10

Would not recommend. Sadly I would not recommend this location. Every ingredient and component tasted stock or sub par. The only special thing about this restaurant is the ability to choose your own toppings, yet of the toppings I chose, they were not anything special. The noodles and broth tasted stock, the meats are not very good and fail to impress, and the toppings are nothing special either. There are many better ramen restaurants in the area and I don’t think this restaurant has anything to earn your pick over others.
